Privacy policy
What this site collects, why, for how long, and how to ask about or remove your data.
Who this policy covers
AaronJones.co is run independently by a single operator; it is not a registered company. This policy explains what happens to data connected to you when you visit the site or use the contact form. For anything not covered here, ask through that form.
What is collected
Server logs
Like any web server, this site's hosting keeps a short access log of each request: IP address, browser user agent, the URL requested, the referring page and a timestamp. This is used only to keep the site running and secure (spotting abuse, diagnosing errors) and is kept for 10 days before being deleted automatically.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are emailed directly to the site's own mailbox. They are not stored in a database or shared with any third party. The form also keeps a one-hour record of a hashed (not the actual) version of your IP address, solely to stop automated spam — it is discarded after an hour and cannot be reversed to your real address.
What is not collected
This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party embeds of any kind. See the cookie policy for detail.
Why (legal basis)
Server logs are kept under legitimate interest, to operate and secure the site. Contact-form data is processed to respond to the message you chose to send — you provide it, and it is used only for that purpose.
Sharing and international transfer
Data is not sold or shared with advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies. It stays on the infrastructure that hosts this site and is not knowingly transferred elsewhere.
How long data is kept
Server logs: 10 days. Contact-form emails: kept in the site's mailbox only as long as needed to handle your message, and deleted sooner on request. Rate-limit records: automatically discarded after one hour.
Your rights
You can ask, at any time, what data this site holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — use the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; this site will honour reasonable requests regardless.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if analytics or cookies are ever added — this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change.
